Quality statement

The Top Management of Hermes Traducciones has identified the implementation of a quality management system adapted to the requirements of the UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 standard, as well as the delivery of translation and language services adapted to the requirements of the UNE-ISO 17100:2015 standard, as an key strategic factor in achieving the high levels of improvement in its translation services and other activities that make it possible to manage the organisation with the quality required by an increasingly competitive market. Consequently, it establishes the following points:

  1. The objectives defined for the delivery of the service are assumed through their integration into the quality management system.
  2. The implementation of a quality management system must allow us to know how to execute the processes and associated activities, regardless of the people working at any given time.
  3. We must use indicators that measure the results of our actions, as well as establish measurable and quantifiable objectives that allow us to monitor the degree of compliance, so that, if deviations are detected, we can make the appropriate adjustments as soon as possible.
  4. The continuous improvement with which the organisation is linked will not only be sought in the delivery of our services, but also in all other activities related to satisfying the needs and expectations of our customers, which is the purpose of the company, and this will be considered as the input and output of our processes.
  5. The competences of the staff are continuously maintained and updated by means of annual continuous training plans, which are reviewed to identify their suitability for the objective set by analysing the necessary training received by each employee and the subsequent preparation of an annual training plan that allows for greater competence and operational efficiency. For this reason, we pay special attention to the technical and training knowledge of the staff that allows us to provide a quality service.
  6. The quality management system implemented must be reviewed to adapt it to the changing circumstances of the company and its context and market. It will therefore be regularly checked by evaluating the performance of processes and audits to establish plans for improvement and will also take the management of risks and opportunities related to all processes into account.
  7. The conclusion of the operation of the company based on the data provided by the analysis of the elements indicated in the previous point, as well as the non-conformities that could arise and the corresponding corrective and preventive actions taken, the management oriented towards risks and the satisfaction of the customer regarding the quality of the service provided and the efficiency of our management, are the responsibility of the Top Management, which will proceed to evaluate them during their review.
  8. The Top Management will focus on an approach to processes that involves their definition and systematic management and those of their interactions in order to achieve the previous results in accordance with the quality policy and the strategic direction of the organisation. To this end, an approach based on the PHVA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle will be applied, which will be continuous, iterative and feedback-based.

The Top Management of Hermes Traducciones undertakes to provide the necessary means to meet the improvement objectives that will be established over time, and to inform the staff concerned of the results obtained. Likewise, the Top Management is committed to disseminating this policy through an appropriate communication system, to ensure that it is understood and accepted by all the company’s staff. On the other hand, all personnel must be aware of the importance of satisfying both the customer’s requirements and the legal and regulatory requirements of the product or service provided, in particular those of the data protection law and intellectual property rights.
